PARTIES George PEMBERTON of Preston, Lancashire - Wholesale Newsagent William ABRAM of Tarleton, Near Preston, Lancashire - Builder Henry ASHCROFT of Tarleton, Near Preston, Lancashire - Market Gardener SUBJECT William Abram is selling property in Tarleton, Lancashire, to Henry Ashcroft for £400. It consists of a plot of 1766 square yards on the North side of, and fronting onto, Fermor Road. There are various greenhouses on the plot, together with house erected by the vendor. We are told that William Abram had acquired this plot, as part of a larger area totalling 4400 square yards in 1821. He later mortgaged it to George Pemberton for £600. This mortgage is still outstanding and the mortgagor accepts that tthe other land remaining in the hands of the vendor is adequate security.
