PARTIES John GRACE of Whitby Hall in the County of Chester, Cheshire. (Gentleman) Susanna Egerton GRACE his wife John Mark HUDSON of Chestnut Grove, Ellesmere Port,Cheshire. (Surveyor) SUBJECT The document begins by reciting that John Grace (the father of the one in this document) died in 1902 leaving his property to his wife Susanna Egerton Grace for her lifetime and then to his son John Grace. Susanna died in 1912. John Grace (the son) is now selling property in Ellesmore Port to John Hudson for £340. It consists of a plot of 3022 square yards on the West Side of John Street, being part of a field known as Big Birches. Earlier Indentures relating to this land from 1846 - 1888 are listed, indicating that the property had been in the Grace family throughout that time. A Memorandum added at the back indicates that the plot was sold off in smaller parcels - 4 such sales being recorded in 1913.
