SUBJECT
Arthur Newcomen is granting a lease on a plot of land in Coatham to John Thwaites for 99 years at a rent of £1/13/4d per annum. The lease is also "in consideration of the erection of a dwelling house by John Thwaites on the parcel of ground".

The plot lies on the North side of Coatham High Street. We are told that a similar plot lying to the West has already been leased to John Thwaites, and an agreement on a lease on similar land to the East has also been agreed.

Closely written on 6 sides in beutifully clear handwriting. First sheet watermarked 1875.
