The document begins by reciting that John Mott died in January 1869 leaving a will in which his eldest son, William Mott became his sole executor and trustee. His real estate at the time of his death was to be sold for the benefit of his 3 younger children - Charles, Emily and Georgina.

William Mott is now selling 2 messuages in the Parish of Maiseyhampton, Gloucestershire, his eldest son William Kynaston Mott for £200. There is mention that this land is intermixed with other land formerly owned by William Mott, the great grandfather of William Kynaston Mott.
