Gentleman. Thomas PARROTT of Macclesfield, Cheshire. Gentleman. SUBJECT The document relates to a dwellinghouse with 4 acres of land in Fallybroome. It begins by reciting that in 1799 this property was mortgaged by Martha Hayman and John Hayman (her then husband) to William Hayman. John Hayman has since died, but the mortgage remains in force, and Martha Hayman is now selling it to John Fleet for £1100. Thomas Colville and Thomas Parrott appear only to be acting as trustees of some sort and play little real part. (NB 'Parrot and Colville' is the firm of solicitors drawing up the document). Note that this is only a draft and contains nothing to confirm that the sale actually took place.
