SUBJECT Louisa Hill is selling property in Devon to Richard Carpenter for £221. It consists of 5 cottages erected by Louisa Hill on the South side of William Street (formerly Barrington Lane). We are told that these cottages were built in the garden of a larger property which had been acquired by Louisa Hill in 1822. The remainder of the original plot lays to the South and West of those cottages and is still owned by her, George Cockram appears only as a trustee and plays little real part.
