PARTIES
Edward PICKETT of number 9 Wilstead Street, Somers Town, Middlesex. Shopkeeper and Widower. John DUCK of Wroughton, Wiltshire. Farmer. SUBJECT Edward Pickett is selling property in Wroughton, Wiltshire, to John Duck for £380. It is a plot of 6 acres of arable land known as Picketts Piece, lying on the East of the highway from Swindon to Wroughton. John Duck already owns adjacent land immediately to the North. We are told that Edward Pickett is the eldest son of Edward Pickett, late of Westminster, and who was in turn the eldest son of Jacob Pickett, also of Westminster. The three are said to have owned the land for 50 years, but presumably have no written title to it. | ||||||||||||
