PARTIES
Robert PROWSE of Wroughton, Wiltshire. Victualer. John WOOLFORD of Chisledon, Wiltshire. Yeoman. SUBJECT Robert Prowse is mortgaging copyhold land in the Manor of Wroughton, Wiltshire, to John Woolford for £400. As the property is held by copyhold tenure from the Manor, the transfer of title occurred by the procedures of Surrender and Administration which, we are told, occurred on the same date. This document contains the technical details of the mortgage contract in the form of a Deed of Covenant. We are told very little about the property involved, except that Robert Prowse holds it for the duration of 3 lives, ie those of John, William and Edward Carpenter. | ||||||||||||||
