Gentleman. SUBJECT The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1789 in which John Pritchard mortgaged property in Bosbury, Herefordshire, to FRANCIS BENNETT DERRY for £150. Then in 1797 the mortgage was transferred to Joseph West and the loan increased to £250. In the present Indenture the mortgage is again being transferred to John Downes. The property consists of (1) a cottage called Hanley Gate with 4 acres of lands in Bosbury. A dwelling house (2) called Hanley Hill with several small parcels of land totalling about 3 acres. These parcels are in Manshill Field or Suffield Common Field.
