SUBJECT The document begins by reciting that Jane Davis mortgaged property in Walton, Liverpool, to Richard Hughes for £450 in 1911. She died intestate, a widow without children, in 1916, and administration was granted to William Hughes. We are told that Hugh Hughes was her eldest brother and heir at law and her intention was that this property should pass to him. It appears that this Indenture is resolving the situation by transferring the property to Richard Hughes in full settlement of the outstanding mortgage. The property consists of 5 dwellinghouses at number 38 40 42 44 and 46 Cowley Road, Walton Liverpool.
