Robert William HILLMAN of Lyme Regis, Dorset. Gentleman. Arthur Edward Elers HILLMAN of Worthing, Sussex. Solicitor. Risdon Darracott SHARP of Christchurch, Hampshire. Solicitor. Louisa SLOMAN (deceased) of Wick, Christchurch, Hampshire. Widow. SUBJECT This Indenture relates to a marriage settlement of 1827 in which Edward Hillman placed £6250 in trust for the marriage of his daughter Louisa Hillman and John Sloman. John Sloman died in 1880 and his wife Louisa died in 1898 leaving a son John Sloman the younger and a daughter Louisa, the wife of Edmund Yeamans Walcott. The current trustee is Robert William Hillman but he wishes to be released and Arthur Hillman and Risdon Sharp are now being appointed as new trustees. There is mention of the purchase in 1841 of property at Wick, Christchurch, using some of the trust funds. NB The document does not specifically say that Louisa Sloman lived in Christchurch. This is a guess based on the 1881 census and various details given in the document. | |||||||||||
