Thomas Fish is giving a 15 year lease on property in Clerkenwell to Charles Coxhead who is paying £100 and a rent of £45 per annum.

The property is The Old Ben Johnson Public House in Great Bath Street, Clerkenwell. Charles Coxhead covenants that the property "shall be converted to no other purpose than as a Victualling house to be called by the name of sign of The Old Ben Johnson and will use his best endeavours to keep the premises open as a victualling or public house for the sale of Porter Ale, Wine and Spiritous Liquors and preserve the license thereto".

At the end of the lease the license is to be assigned to Thomas Fish.
