Edward WHITELEGG of Manchester, Lancashire. Grocer. Frances WHITELEGG wife of Edward. William OKELL (deceased) of Ashton upon Mersey, Cheshire. Gentleman. John OKELL of Ashton upon Mersey, Cheshire. Gentleman. SUBJECT The document begins by reciting that William Okell died intestate and that his property passed to his eldest brother Samuel Okell (new deceased) and then to Frances Whitelegg, the only child of Samuel Okell. However, during his lifetime, William Okell said that he wished his property to go to another brother John Okell. Edward and Frances Whitelegg are satisfied that this was true and are accordingly conveying the land to John Okell for the nominal sum of 10/-d (10 shillings). The property consists of two fields known as the Further Moor Fields containing "two acres of land of the Cheshire large measure " in Ashton upon Mersey, Cheshire | ||||||||||||
