PARTIES
Arthur Gurney of Farrington Street, London. Wine Merchant. Austin Scott of No 8 Upper Kennington Green, Surrey. John Godden of No 6 Grays Inn Place, Middlesex. Solicitor. OTHERS MENTIONED The Rt Hon Edward Granville, Earl of St Germans. The Rt Hon William Powlett, Lord Bayning. The Rt Hon Richard Griffin, Lord Braybrooke. SUBJECT Arthur Gurney is selling a plot of land in Lewisham to Austin Scott for £30. It is a plot 115 feet x 32 feet on the South side of a new road called The Grove. It does not yet appear to have a house built on it. This must be the earliest printed conveyance that I have yet come across. Presumably, an estate made up of similar plots are all being sold with identical conveyances. John Godden appears to have been a Trustee in an earlier contract relating to this land. He seems to play little real part it in. | ||||||||||||
