SUBJECT Alfred Jones is selling property in Portslade by Sea, Sussex to Henry Horscroft and Robert Hiscock for £75. It consists of a plot of land 34ft x 29ft in total on which two houses known as nos. 8 and 9 East Street Place have recently been erected. We are told that Alfred Jones mortgaged the property to William Britt for £270 in 1879 and that the mortgage is still outstanding, but (unusually?) William Britt is not a party to this contract.
