PARTIES William Verrall of Worthing, Sussex. Gentleman. Charles Ford Webb of Tandycroft, St Margaret's, Twickenham, Middlesex. Surgeon. Edmund Lephard of Heene in Sussex. Gentleman. SUBJECT Charles Ford Webb is selling property in Worthing, Sussex, to Edmund Lephard for £400. The plot contains 2 roods and 8 perches and lies between Shelley Road and Winchester Road in Heene, Sussex. We are told that this is part of a larger area owned by Charles Webb and which he mortgaged for £3,600 in 1883 to Edward William Henry Webb. In 1885 a further £400 was added to this mortgage. Edward Webb died in 1887 leaving this mortgage to his wife Ellen Webb. In 1889 Ellen Webb transferred the mortgage then totalling £3,942 to William Verrall. Accordingly, the entire £400 of the selling price of this plot is being paid direct to William Verrall. Three is a Schedule listing indentures relating to this plot from 1864 to 1889. The name of Charles Webb first appears in 1877.
