SUBJECT
The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1786 in which Robert Griggs of Shipdham morgaged a messuage and 5 acres of land to Mary Rising for £300. He has since sold the property to William Younge. The latter is taking on the mortgage of £300 and also borrowing a further £100 from Mary Rising. This indenture is to formally charge the total sum due on the property.

The paper document is a bond from William Younge to Mary Rising for the same amount, executed on the same day.
