PARTIES
William Nicolls of Stafford, Staffordshire. Gentleman, and his wife Sarah. John Broadhurst of Winckle, Cheshire. Yeoman. SUBJECT William Nicolls and his wife Sarah are agreeing to give John Broadhurst a 99 year lease on property in Winckle, Cheshire beginning 25/03/1743. The property consists of a messuage together with lands called Long Dale or Long Sutton and is at a rent of £13 per annum. John Broadhurst convenants 'not to carry off any hay, straw or manure but to lay the same upon lands for the improvement thereof'. He will also keep a dog for William Nicolls when required and 'grind his grist of corn at Broadhall Mill'. We are told that John Broadhurst also has brothers Jonathan and Joseph. | |||||||||||||
