SUBJECT Harrison Cusson is borrowing £1,600 from the Dover Building society on a mortgage on number 18 Clifton Gardens, Folkestone, Kent. We are told that a 99 year lease had been granted in 1872 on this 'dwelling house then newly erected by John Holden'. This lease included rights to use the ornamental garden on the South side in common with other property owners. This lease came into the hands of Harrison Cusson in 1879 'by divers mesne assignments and Act in the Law'.
