Paper : 7 sheets (written on) plus 1 cover sheet 40cm x 25cm. There is no specific date on the document, but 1842 has been written on the cover and the paper is watermarked 1840.

SUBJECT
The document is headed "Abstract of Title of the Devisees of the late Robert Taylor to a dwelling house on the South side of Richmond Row, Liverpool".

It begins by listing Indentures of Lease and Release of December 1790 and August 1791 regarding this property. Then by a further Lease and Release of 8th & 9th September 1795 it came into the hands of Robert Taylor (the elder) for the sum of £300.

Robert Taylor (the elder) died in 1797 leaving his property to his wife Martha during her lifetime and then to her children. Martha died in 1840 with children as follows:
Robert Taylor of Liverpool, Accountant, only son and heir at law
Abigail Banks of Liverpool, Widow
Martha Wainwright of Liverpool, widow who died in 1837
Mary Wainwright of Liverpool, widow
Eliza, the wife of Hugh Johnson, who died in 1830.
Ann Taylor of Wavertree, spinster.

The final event recorded describes a Commission of Bankruptcy of 1826 which declared Hugh Johnson bankrupt and appointed an administrator for his estate.
