PARTIES
Rev Fielding Arthur Wolfe Hamilton Gell, Lord of the Manor of Matlock, Derbyshire. James Potter of Matlock, Derbyshire, Steward of the Manor of Matlock. John Edmund Nowers of 6 East Mount Crescent, Darlington, Durham. Brewer. William Innes of the Wardwich(?) in the Borough of Derby. Auctioneer. Walter Herbert Wright of Longstoke, Derbyshire. Gentleman. SUBJECT Concerns a piece of land of 720 square yards in the Manor of Matlock bounded on the North by a dwelling known as 'Holyn Royd', on the East by Dale Road and on the West by Holt Lane. It contains 2 dwelling houses known as Lyndhurst and Glenholme. Walter Wright had mortgaged this property to George Poyser (deceased) for £600 and John Nowers appears to be the surviving executor of George Poyser. At some point the mortgage was transferred to William Innes. Walter Wright is now repaying the mortgage, and, as part of the formalities for reconveying the property to him, John Nowers and William Innes are surrendering the property to the Lord of the Manor. | |||||||||||
