PARTIES
William Vilett ROLLESTON of The Grosvenor Club, New Bond Street, London. Esquire.
Thomas GEORGE of Dean Street, New Swindon, Wiltshire. Builder.
Thomas CLAUGHAM of 55 Jennings Street, New Swindon, Wiltshire.

SUBJECT
William Rolleston gives a lease for 999 years to Thomas George on property at 43 Dean Street, New Swindon, Wiltshire. The annual rent is £1/1//6d and we are told that this is 'in consideration of the monies expended by the Lessee in the construction of the messuage hereby demised'.

Note that the above phrase is part of the printed wording of the lease, which suggests that there were many similar contracts. The property is in an area known as the 'Rolleston Estate'.

The second Indenture of 05/07/1893 records the sale of the residue of the lease by Thomas George to Thomas Claugham for £144.
