SUBJECT
John Nuttall is selling Copyhold property in Matlock to George Poyser for £1150. It is a plot of 720 sq.yds bounded on the East by the turnpike road from Matlock Bridge to Matlock Bath and on the West by Holt Lane.

In this indenture, John Nuttall acknowledges receipt of the money and covenants to surrender the property to the Lord of the Manor of Matlock, which is a necessary formality for the cmpletion of the sale in the case of copyhold land.
