SUBJECT This is a record of the Halmot Court of the Manor of Charlburn, Worlston and Pendleton. John Aspinall is surrendering copyhold land in Sabden to the Lord of the Manor (who is the Most Noble Walter Francis Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry), and Richard Riley is being admitted to it. (It appears that John Aspinall has given a 999 year lease on it). The property is a plot of land of 258 square yards, part of a close called 'The Holme' on the South side of the highway from Sabden to Whalley. it includes a dwellinghouse recently erected by Richard Riley. | ||||||||||||
