PARTIES Miles COATSWORTH the Younger of Morton Palms near Darlington, Durham. Farmer. Francis HART formerly of Killinghall in the Parish of Middleton St George, Durham, now of Fighting Cocks, Durham. Butcher. John LAMBERT the Younger of Fighting Cocks, Durham. Butcher. SUBJECT The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1871 in which Francis Hart mortgaged property in Middleton St George to Miles Coatsworth for £120. Francis Hart is now selling it to John Lambert for £300 of which £120 is being paid direct to Miles Coatsworth in settlement of the mortgage. The property consists of a parcel of ground in Middleton St George of 202 square yards on the East side of the highway from Fighting Cocks to Middleton and together with a dwellinghouse erected by Francis Hart.
