Thomas CONWAY late of The Strand, Westminster and now of Marden Lane, Garlick Hythe, City of London, Grocer. John BARRATT of Beaminster, Dorset, Baker. SUBJECT Thomas Conway is selling copyhold property in the Manor of Beaminster Secunda to Joseph Barratt for £375. This document is to record the surrender of the property which appears to take place out of court into the hands of two other customary tenants of the manor. The property consists of a close of meadow of 4 acres known as Middle Venus Side, bounded on the West by the highway from Beaminster to Crewkerne. We are told that the parents of Thomas Conway were Thomas and Elizabeth Conway, both now deceased, who were former tenants of this property. | |||||||||||
