William Ebdon of Sidbury, Devon, Cordwainer William Ebdon (deceased, father of the above) of Newton Popplewell, Devon Thomas Burrow of Ottery Saint Mary, Devon, Yeoman Subject This Indenture concerns a parcel of land called Brimhill of four acres "at or adjoining Little Mill Lane not far from the villages of Coombe and Tipton within the parish of Ottery St Mary". We are told that William Ebdon (the father) aquired this property in 1782, mortgaging it shortly afterwards to John and Elizabeth Chorley. William Ebdon (senior) died in 1789 leaving the property to his son. Earlier in 1798 the mortgage had been transferred from Elizabeth Chorley to Thomas Burrow, and William Ebdon (the son) is now selling it outright to Thomas Burrow. | |||||||||||||
