SUBJECT This Indenture relates to property at number 2 St James Place, Plumstead, which is in an area known as the Burrage Estate. We are told that a 65 year lease on this property was granted in1857 and that Charles Radley bought the residue of that lease on 21 May1867. The rent is £2/15/-d per annum. In this present contract, made the same day, he is borrowing £120 from the Reliance Building Society on the security of this leasehold property.
