Epsom, Surrey, Gentleman. Cecil Stanley Windsor of 94, Vaughan Road, Harrow, Middlesex, Engineer. Subject Theresa Bird, Stephen Bird and Jenken Elwin are acting on behalf of the late George Bird and are selling a business with lease and goodwill to Cecil Windsor. The document recites a lease of 1866 between Matthew Chitty Downes St Quintin, James Bartle and Lewis William Pritchard for property being part of Notting Barns Farm, Parish of St Mary Abbotts, Kensington, close to Lancaster Road. The land contained a factory used as Ironfounders and Engineers under the name of James Bartle & Co. This business was later run by George Bird.
