|Summary of contents:|
The Rev Leveson Vernon HARCOURT, Chancellor of York Cathedral and Prebendary of Laughton-en-le-Morthen
Antony (sic) Francis Boulter Sant Leger of Park Hill, Parish of Firbeck, Yorkshire, West Riding - Esquire
The document begins by reciting that in 1838 Leverson Harcourt granted a Lease on property in the West Riding of Yorkshire, for the duration of 3 lives, to Antony Sant Leger. One of those 'lives' has now died and a new lease is being granted with a different name as replacement.
The property consists of:
1. The Rectory of Laughton-en-le-Morthen with the Glebe Lands and Thithes due to it.
2. Two parcels of land totalling 168 acres allotted by the Enclosure Commissions for Laughton in 1769.
3. Three parcels of land totalling 93 acres allotted by the Enclose Commission for Dinnington in 1778.
4. Various money payments in lieu of tithes totaling £135 per annum.
Antony Sant Leger appears to be paying a rent of £80 per annum for this!
