The document relates to the Will of Richard Robinson who died in 1854 having appointed Thomas Leak and William Ogden as his Executors and Trrustees. The principal beneficiaries of the Will of Richard Robinson were his daughter Ann DRIVER (since deceased) his granddaughter Mary Reeman (formerly Mary HAIGH).
At the time of his death he had mortgages totalling £300 outstanding to Thomas Leak and Elias Hinchcliffe.
In this Indenture, Arthur and Mary Reeman and John Robinson, are selling property to John Kaye for £800, of which, £300 is paid to Thomas Leak and Elias Hinchcliffe in settlement of their mortgages.
The property is all in Clayton West and consists of:
1) Messuage called Hirst House with yard, barns and 2 acres of land called Upper Inge.
2) Close of land called Broadlands of 2 acres.
The paper certificate states that Mary Reeman has been examined separately from her husband to ensure that she understands and consents to the sale.
