Note that the last six named are the Trustees of the Crewe Permanent Benefit Building Society.
We are told that Joseph Fear holds three shares in the Crewe Building Scoiety which entitles him to borrow £187/16/3d. This he is now doing.
His security is a piece of land which he acquired in 1869, being part of a field called Near Brick Kiln Field in the township of Monks Coppenhall (now in the Borough of Crewe) on the east side of the Brooklyn Street. A house, number 3 Brooklyn Street, has now been erected on the plot.
A memorandum added on the back records that the mortgage had been repaid to the Building Society by June 1899.
