The document begins by reciting that in September 1926 Frederick Dixon and Harry Turner were granted a 999 year lease on six plots of land on the Failsworth Estate, Lancashire. The following day they mortgaged it to the Halifax Building Society for £2256 of which £1209 is still outstanding at the time of this indenture.
Dixon and Turner are now selling one of the plots, with dwellinghouse, to Herbert Pritchard for £525, of which £390 is paid to the Building Society, and the remainder to the vendors. The plot fronts onto an intended street called Kingston Road, Failsworth.
