The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1854 in which Vincent and Aaron Wing mortgaged property in Fordingbridge to Joseph Crabb for £450. The mortgage is now in arrears and the property has been sold to James Crabb for £630 by public auction at the Star Inn in Fordingbridge.,
The property consists of
1) Piece of pasture in Burgate Marsh bounded on the West by Burgate Lake.
2) Cottage with 1 rood of land on plot 940 on the Tithe Map, now known as Newfoundland.
3) 8 acres of arable land at Nether Burgate, plot 856 on the Tithe Map and known as Edsalls.
George Kent acts only as a trustee and plays little real part.
