Thomas Eastmond HARRIS of Swymbridge, Devon. Blacksmith.
John Nicholas HANCOCK of Pilton, Barnstaple, Devon. Builder.
The document begins by reciting that in 1880 Robert COCK mortgaged houses in Barnstaple to Thomas Harris for £400. Then in 1881 Robert Cock sold the property to John Hancock with the mortgage still outstanding. Later in 1881 John Hancock sold one of the 4 houses to John WESTACOTT and at the same time repaid £100 out of the total owing.
Now, in this Indenture, John Hancock is repaying the remaining £300 to Thomas Harris and the 3 other houses are being reconveyed to him.
The property lies on the South side of the Braunton Road, Barnstaple.
