Robert DART of Hatherleigh, Devon. Blacksmith. James JOHNSON of Jacobstow, Devon. Cordwainer. Charles LEYMON of Okehampton. Devon. SUBJECT This is a conveyance by Lease and Release and contains 2 Indentures bound together at the bottom edge. The Release begins by reciting that in 1834 Robert Dart mortgaged property in Hatherleigh, Devon, to James Johnson for £80. Now James Johnson is buying the property from Robert Dart for £127/10/-d of which £80 will be deducted to pay off the mortgage. The property consists of two dwelling houses known as Old House and New House, both recently erected by Robert Dart. We are told that Robert Dart bought one of the properties in 1834 from John Dart - since deceased. Charles Leymon acts only as a Trustee, and plays little real part. | |||||||||||||
