SUBJECT This is the first part of a contract of Lease and Release in which property in Shiffnal, Shropshire, is being conveyed to Dorothy Jarvis. The property consists of one dwelling house which William Yates is living in, together with two other "newly erected" dwelling houses adjoining. All are on or near Church Street, Shiffnal. We are told that the conveyance is made with the object of mortgaging the property to Dorothy Jarvis. At first sight Hannah Smith and William Yates are acting jointly in the transaction,. (But it now seems unlikely that they are joint owners - sorry, I can't work out who is the real owner!).
