Sarah BOUCHER of Corsham, Wiltshire (Widow) Richard Attwood BOUCHER of Corsham, Wiltshire (Gentleman) John LONG of Melksham, Wiltshire (Esquire) James BULL of Melksham, Wiltshire (Yeoman) William MILES of Melksham, Wiltshire (Yeoman) Joseph TAYLOR of GASTARD, parish of Corhsam, Wiltshire (Yeoman) Richard TAYLOR of GASTARD, parish of Corsham, Wiltshire (Yeoman) SUBJECT The document begins by telling us that Sarah Boucher, nee Attwood, the widow of Samuel Pett Boucher is one of two daughters and heiresses of Mary Attwood, deceased. Mary Attwood was the only sister and sole heiress of Thomas Bayly of Pickwick, Corsham. Evidently, through this route, she inherited a half share in property in Melksham. Later, her sister Betty Attwood, died unmarried and intestate, and she inherited the other half share of the property. Later, in 1804, she mortgaged the property to James Bull for £250. She and her only son, Richard Attwood Boucher, are now selling it to Joseph Taylor for £300, of which £250 is paid direct to James Bull to clear the mortgage. John Long, William Miles and Richard Taylor, all act only as trustees and play no real part. | |||||||||||
