William WORTS of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, Baker and Miller. AND Mary his wife.
Joseph LEE of Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. Miller.
William Worts and his wife are mortgaging property in Horning to Joseph Lee for £2000. The property is exactly that sold by Joseph Lee to William Worts the previous day (see our Document No 0704023) and, in summary, consists of:
A newly built capital messuage, 9 other cottages, a malthouse, bakery, blacksmith's shop, and about 11 parcels of land totalling 34 acres.
The mortgage takes the form of a 1000 year lease to Joseph Lee at the rent of a peppercorn until such time as either the loan is repaid or the borrower defaults on the interest payments.
