Robert FULFORD of Bognor, Sussex. Gentleman.
Samuel REYNOLDS of Bognor, Sussex. Auctioneer.
Ebenezer GEALL of South Bersted, Sussex. Brickmaker.
Henry GEALL of South Bersted, Sussex. Brickmaker.
Samuel Reynolds is selling property in South Bersted, Sussex, to Ebenezer and Henry Geall for £58. It is a plot of land 30 feet x 199 feet with a frontage on Essex Road to the West, the plot forming part of a close known as "Town Cross". The sale includes a covenant that not more than 2 dwellinghouses may be built on the plot,.
We are told that the entire area known as "Town Cross" had been mortgaged by Samuel Reynolds to Robert Fulford for £1800 in 1885 and that the £58 purchase price of this plot is paid in its entirety to Robert Fulford.
A separate handwritten letter is attached to the document which indicates that Samuel Reynolds owes another mortgage to the executors of the late Henry Harman. It declares that the plot being sold to the Gealls will not be charged with part of this second mortgage.
