George Durant AUSTEN (deceased) of Bognor, Sussex. Solicitor.
We are told that George Austen died in 1902 having appointed his wife Mary Austen and Edward Wannop as Executors. These two are now selling property in South Bersted, Sussex, to Herbert Harnett for £350. It consists of a plot of 199 feet x 30 feet with two houses known as number 38 and 39 Essex Road, South Bersted, forming part of a close formerly known as "Town Cross".
The property had been mortgaged to George Austen in 1889 by Ebenezer and Henry Geall, but evidently otherwise two have defaulted on the mortgage.
