|Date:||28 May 1829|
|Parchment : 1 sheet 59cm x 77cm with 4 wax seals, 4 signatures, revenue stamp and plan of the property|
|Summary of contents:|
Charlotte Maria FOSTER of Norwich, Norfolk, Widow.
William Boyes ADAMS of Heckingham, Norfolk. Gentleman. AND Charlotte Ann his wife.
Edward WATSON of Norwich, Norfolk. Coal Merchant.
The document relates to two neighbouring properties in the Parish of St Peter per Mountgate, Norwich, in the occupation of Charlotte Foster and Edward Watson. Edward Watson is being granted the right to dig a watercourse from a cesspool in his property into a "dead well" in Charlotte Foster's garden.
We are told that Charlotte Foster's tenure to her property is for her life or until she should re-marry, after which it passes to William and Charlotte Adams. Accordingly, these two are also parties to the agreement.
