|Summary of contents:|
James LARGE of Canterbury, Kent , Miller.
Mary Ann DENNETT of Cranbrook, Kent. Spinster.
The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1815 in which John SAWYER mortgaged property to James HATCH, John BUTLER and James LARGE for £260. It consists of 4 acres of marsh land in the Parish of Hope All Saints, Romney Marsh. We are told that the three mortgagees were at that time acting as the Executors of James DENNETT (deceased).
Since then both James HATCH and John BUTLER died in 1825.
As the surviving executor, James LARGE is now transferring the mortgage to Mary Ann DENNETT.
A memorandum added on the back records that the mortgage was paid off in 1832 by George and Robert CURTEIS who were the Trustees of the estate of John SAWYER.
