SUBJECT Edmund Bowen is selling property in the Parish of Worfield, Shropshire to Samuel Nicholls for £1451. The property consists mainly of a parcel of Copyhold land of 26 acres known as the Big Leason, Sandy Pitts and Hill Side at Wyken which is held from the Manor of Wyken. There is also a small piece of adjacent freehold land recently land recently enclosed out of the waste of the Manor. It is bounded on the North West by the turnpike road from Bridgnorth to Wolverhampton and on the North East by the road from Worfield to Dallicott. We are told that Edmund Bower had mortgaged the Copyhold land to Samuel Nicholls and Thomas Nock of Stockton, Shropshire for £650 in 1819.
