The document begins by reciting an Indenture of 1867 in which a 99 year lease was granted on a property know as "Broadlands", Lawrence Road, South Norwood, parish of Croydon, Surrey.
In 1870 the residue of the lease came into the hands of Thomas North. He is now selling it on to Charles Chapman for £1300.
