PARTIES
George BURR of Keighley, Yorkshire. Solicitor William Henry BOTTOMLEY of Devonshire Street, Keighley, Yorkshire. Confectioner William Weatherhead SEED of Keighley, Yorkshire. Coal Merchant Frederick SEED of Keighley, Yorkshire. Coal Merchant John SMITH of Devonshire Street, Keighley, Yorkshire. Provision Merchant SUBJECT The Indenture relates to a property in Stoney Croft Lane, Keighley, Yorkshire, consisting of two plots of land of 146 sq.yds and 42 sq.yds. There is a dwelling house known as No.1 Aireview Place on the larger plot. The document begins by reciting that this property (among others) was mortgaged to George Burr in 1884. Evidently the owner has since defaulted on the mortgage and, as a result, George Burr is now selling it to William Bottomley for £260. William Seed, John Smith and Frederick Seed only come into it because they are the owners of an adjacent property (marked on the plan) and hold some title deeds which are relevant to the plots in this contract. Accordingly they covenant to produce these deeds on request. | |||||||||||
