PARTIES
Joseph IBBOTSON of 69 Dykes Hall Road, Hillsborough in the Parish of Ecclesfield, Yorkshire. Joiner & Builder. George Robinson SMITH of Wadsley Bridge, Ecclesfield, Yorkshire. Blacksmith. Edward COLLINS of 41 Hunter Road, Hillsborough, Yorkshire. Solictors Clerk. Edward PEACE of Harrison Road, Hillsborough, Yorkshire. Saw Grinder. SUBJECT The document begins by reciting that in 1896 an 800-year lease was granted to Joseph Ibbotson on a plot of land of 498 square yards on the South West of Dykes Hall Road. At that time there were 4 dwelling houses in the course of erection on it. Later in 1896 Joseph Ibbotson mortgaged the property to the Tesserians Friendly Society for £430. At that time the trustees of that society were George Smith and Edward Collins (both parties to this indenture) and also Thomas Medley. Joseph Ibbotson is now selling the property to Edward Peace for £665 of which £430 goes to the two remaining trustees of the Tesserians Society to pay off the mortgage. The 2 separate pieces of paper relate to the resignation of Thomas Medley as a trustee of the Tesserians Society. | ||||||||||||
