|Summary of contents:|
William GOODBURN of Trotter by Newhaven, Fayette County, Pensylvania, USA. Miner.
John THOMPSON of Middleton in Teesdale, Durham. Blacksmith.
Mary GOODBURN of Middleton in Teesdale, Durham. Widow.
The document begins by reciting that Mary Goodburn died in 1877 leaving property in Middleton in Teesdale to her daughter Mary Walton for her lifetime after which it was to pass to her grandson William Goodburn (party hereto).
Mary Walton died in 1882 and William Goodburn is now selling the property to John Thompson for £260. It consists of a dwellinghouse with yard, stable and outbuildings and is on the North side of the Town street in Middleton. The plan shows that William Goodburn also owns another similar property immediately to the East of the one being sold.
