|Summary of contents:|
William Barwick HODGE of Whitehall, Middlesex. Esquire.
James THORNBORROW of Bushgillhead, Parish of Wigton, Cumberland. Farmer.
William Hodge is granting a 9-year lease on property in Wigton, Cumberland, to James Thornborrow, at a rent of £120 per annum. It consists of a dwellinghouse and 64 acres of land at Bushgillhead. It appears that James Thornborrow already occupies the farm and so, presumably, has had an ealier lease on it.
The lease places many conditions on the tenant by way of ensuring "good husbandry" of the land.
