Walter LOCK of Magdalen College, Oxford. Tutor.
Henry DODD (deceased) of Burnham, Somerset. Gentleman.
Charles Robert DAVIES (deceased) of Congresbury, Somerset. Gentleman.

Frederica Cornelius is mortgaging property in Burnham, Somerset, to Walter Lock for £70. It consists of 20 acres of land called Gatcombes and a dwelling house at Hewish Common. There is also another dwelling house in Congresbury.
The document begins with a long recital of how the property comes into the hands of Frederica Cornelius. This begins with the Will of Henry Dodd, who died in 1826, one of whose beneficiaries was his daughter, Susannah, the wife of Charles Davies.
Charles Robert Davies died about 1841 leaving as his principal beneficiary, his niece Hannah Maria Millar, the wife of Frederick Thomas Miller of Dorchester. Frederica Cornelius was a daughter of Hannah Maria Millar. Various receipts have been added to the document detailing further advances and repayments between Frederica Cornelius and Walter Lock.
By the time of the second Indenture of 1878, Frederica Cornelius owes a total of £210 to Walter Lock. She is then repaying the whole sum and the property is reconveyed to her.
